What it concerns

The invention relates to the technical field of function monitoring, invasive brain-computer interface and multi-modal synchronous acquisition in neurosurgery, and discloses a brain-computer interface calibration multi-modal hand movement synchronous acquisition device in wake-up surgery, which comprises a flexible sensing fingerstall or a finger back sticking strip fixed on a single finger or multiple fingers of a patient, a flexible bending sensor and a local visual mark point are integrated on the base; the thickness of the thin task board allows the thin task board to be inserted into a gap limited by a bandage on the hand of an intraoperative patient, and a global vision calibration point, a pressure sensing module and a synchronous light-emitting diode are arranged on the thin task board; and the control and acquisition module is used for simultaneously triggering three paths of hardware to synchronously output when a set motion behavior event is detected, respectively outputting a behavior log to a task computer, controlling a synchronous light emitting diode to flicker and sending a TTL event code to a neural signal acquisition system. According to the method, rapid deployment in a limited space is realized, and the problem of low time alignment precision of multi-modal data is solved.

Why it matters

Interface and electrodes
Everything downstream works with what the contacts pick up. Their number, size and distance from the neurons set the ceiling on the signal. The problem behind it: more contacts, closer to neurons, that still record after years in tissue that reacts to them.
Signal acquisition
Neural signals are microvolts. They have to be amplified and digitised on many channels at once, inside a power budget that must not warm the tissue. The problem behind it: low noise on hundreds or thousands of channels at milliwatts.
Decoding
This is the step that turns brain activity into a command or a word. Its accuracy and speed are what a user experiences. The problem behind it: accuracy that holds over months without frequent recalibration, for more than one user and one task.

Why the layer matters to the field, not a judgement of this filing. A patent family shows that protection was sought. It does not show that the technology was built, is used in a product, or works in people. The whole stack
