What it concerns
A flexible neural electrode composite structure and a manufacturing and an implantation method therefor, and an auxiliary implantation assembly. The flexible neural electrode composite structure (100) comprises: a plurality of flexible neural electrodes (1), each flexible neural electrode (1) comprising an implant portion (10) and an auxiliary structure (11) provided at the implant portion (10); an auxiliary implantation assembly (2), which comprises a plurality of auxiliary implantation needles (20) corresponding to the plurality of flexible neural electrodes (1) on a one-to-one basis, wherein each auxiliary implantation needle (20) comprises an auxiliary implantation end (201) located at the end close to the flexible neural electrode (1) corresponding thereto, and the auxiliary implantation end (201) is configured to be assembled with the auxiliary structure (11) corresponding thereto; and a fixture (3), which is configured to fix the assembled auxiliary implantation ends (201) and auxiliary structures (11). The auxiliary implantation assembly (2) and the plurality of flexible neural electrodes (1) are fixed together using the fixture (3), such that the plurality of flexible neural electrodes (1) can be implanted into target tissue simultaneously, thereby realizing the implantation of a flexible neural electrode array with a high throughput and a high coverage rate.

What the filing appears to be about, read by published rules from its title, abstract and classification codes (A61B2560/0468, A61B2562/046, A61B2562/12, A61B2562/125, A61B5/251). The claims define what a patent protects, and they are not read here.
Why it matters
- Surgical access
- A probe soft enough for the brain to tolerate is too soft to push in by hand, and each route into the head has its own risk. The problem behind it: placing many contacts exactly, without injuring tissue or vessels, in an operation short and repeatable enough to offer widely.
- Interface and electrodes
- Everything downstream works with what the contacts pick up. Their number, size and distance from the neurons set the ceiling on the signal. The problem behind it: more contacts, closer to neurons, that still record after years in tissue that reacts to them.
Why the layer matters to the field, not a judgement of this filing. A patent family shows that protection was sought. It does not show that the technology was built, is used in a product, or works in people. The whole stack
